Mission

WHADDUP

Our family is more fun than any family.

We have served ourselves well, we would like to serve you better.

We know what you’re thinking:

“This could be a world movement.”

We agree.

Don’t be lonely.

Wear jumpsuits with us.

Read our Almanac in a bus on a trip to the Grand Canyon.

We’ll drive.

OUR MISSION

We, The Kilgore Trout House for Wayward Writers, are a family of literary mystics, soothsayers, futurists and ghosts, a gathering of storytellers who share an uncommon bloodline, being the bastard children of the institution’s namesake.

We are the halfway house for orphan, vagabond writerly souls who believe in the literary quest, but want to have a good time, and don’t always like to travel alone.

Using our combined literary skiffs (do we mean skills?), along with tidal currents and the circadian rhythm of the universe, we present The Trout Family Almanac (actually coming Summer 2013), a collective interpretation of a new world—one that doesn’t involve killing any Indians—and allows for a lot more time travel, and parties, and fun.

    Hi Lauren,

This is Tim’s friend, Vanessa, from the other day outside Public Assembly. I would love to send you a short story or two. Let me know how I can begin to contribute. I also mentioned this forum to my friend Jacob Hartman. He may be contacting you soon also. Thanks.
